Thursday 13th January marked D-Day...the 1st weigh in on a long old journey. I was on nights during the 1st week of the diet so, although I stuck to my points, my diet wasn't great as I was sleeping all day and snacking (on fruit and WW foods!) throughout my shifts.
I walked towards the scales and actually felt really nervous...it's amazing how motivating it can be to know that a complete stranger is going to see how "good/bad" you've been! As I stepped on she asked me how I felt I'd done and I, pretty non-committally, replied: "I'll tell you in a second". I was watching the scales the whole time, praying to the fat sucker outer gods to have removed enough to be acceptable. I'd decided (probably not very sensibly) that I would not be satisfied with anything less than 4lbs...
...and there it was...4LBS OFF!!!! I now weigh 12st 5lbs...still a loooooooong way to go but I feel like I'm off to a fantastic start, and I'm motivated to keep it coming off. I'm hoping over the next few weeks I start to settle into using different recipes and snacks to put a bit of variation into the diet before I get bored...I'm easily bored when it comes to food!
So - I'm now half way through my 2nd week and looking forward (slightly nervously) to Thursdays weigh in...
Maybe another 3lbs and my Silver 7...or possibly 4lbs and reach my 5% goal?!?!
I'll let you know! :0)
